With Alan Lowry following in the footsteps of big brother Shane’s victory in prestigious Mullingar Scratch Cup, the Guardian talk about Shane’s career. Shane developed playing and winning the events that form part of the EGI Tour, under the watchful eye of the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) that has produced so many great golfers for this small country. The EGI Tour will be working from the GUI training camp in Carton House.
It will be interesting to follow Shane into the Olympics in 2016, which we know is a big thing for him, alongside the Ryder Cup. Given his Dad’s All-Ireland winning performances as part of the great Offaly team of the 80’s, we should see Shane relish in this environment.
