Record 5 Irish players chosen to play Walker Cup 2015

A record number of 5 Irish players have been chosen on the 10 man Great Britain & Ireland team to play The Walker Cup this September in Royal Lytham & St. Annes. They include British Open hero Paul Dunne, former North of Ireland finalist Gary Hurley, this year’s Brabazon Trophy winner Cormac Sharvin, current Irish Amateur Open champion Gavin Moynihan and Jack Hume who finished tied 3rd in the Brabazon Trophy, top 20 in the European Individual Championship and had a solid 2014. With half of the Great Britain and Ireland team being Irish, it shows that Irish Amateur golf is as strong as it has ever been. We wish the 5 Irish players, along with their teammates, luck at Royal Lytham & St. Annes this September.
